Fallbrook Real Estate
Fallbrook is located on the west side of I-15 corridor just north of
Escondido. The Vital Reche family was the first settlers in the area
in the
year 1869. The area is named for the family's Pennsylvania home,
Fallbrook.
At one point in time, the area surrounding Fallbrook was known as the
avocado capital of the world, due largely to the area climate being
suitable
for agriculture which remains the main business of the area today. 50
retail and wholesale nurseries call Fallbrook home.
Area homes generally offer large lots. The area's rolling hills have 4
golf
courses tucked in side them. Residents enjoy county living while being
within easy driving distances to Camp Pendleton, Orange and riverside
counties.
Main Street in Fallbrook has been wonderfully preserved to retain its
earlier look. The town center has a Midwest feel to it. Historical
buildings are now home to galleries and antique shops. Seven shopping
centers serve the area.
The Los Jilgueros Preserve and Live Oak Park offer open space for
recreation
and relaxation. The Polmares house dates to 1874 and plays host
community
meetings.
